It's the time of year that The Elder Scrolls Online takes a moment to give players the chance to know all about what's happening with the 2025 ESO Direct. As part of the Direct, players will see the return of the villainous Worm Cult, thus bringing around a storyline that has been in the making for the past 10 years.

ESO players will already notice that the prologue quest for the Worm Cult's revenge is already available. This means that you can take the chance to prepare for any challenges awaiting you, and face off against the cult's new weapons, the Soul Reapers, in a short story that will lead you directly into Seasons of the Worm Cult Part One.

The first part of Seasons of the Worm Cult will be launching onto PC and Mac on the 2nd of June, and a little later on 18th June for Xbox and PlayStation users. The good news is that you'll find that the Seasons of the Worm Cult is a part of the 2025 Content Pass.

Solstice

Explore a new zone in the form of the tropical island of Solstice, where you'll need to uncover and investigate the Worm Cult's new base of operations. As you explore the western part of the region, you'll notice that the Worm Cult is anything but defenceless. In fact, they've erected a huge arcane barrier, the Writhing Wall, that is made of soul magic. This barrier will divide the island, meaning that you're limited to Western Solstice for now.

The region itself will have plenty of challenges to face and rewards to earn. Among these you'll find new World Bosses, Delves, a Public Dungeon, and the Ossein Cage — a new trial for players to face. There will be plenty of other rewards eso gold, including four new Trial item sets (and Perfected versions), 16 Antiquities (three of which are new Mythic items), and plenty of Collectibles, such as crafting motifs and pets. Players exploring Solstice will also find that they'll gain a 10% experience boost which will be available for the whole year.

We previously mentioned the Writhing Wall, and don't worry, because you won't be limited to Western Solstice forever. In Q4, players from all around Tamriel will be banding together in a world-changing one-time event to bring down the barrier and enter Eastern Solstice. As you gain more experience and rewards in the Seasons of the Worm Cult, your forces will band together to charge an assault to get through to their base in Eastern Solstice. Players can even help if they only have the base game, as everyone can help to gather resources to help fuel for the assault.

The Writhing Wall

Of course, when you break through the Writhing Wall, the second part of Seasons of the Worm Cult will begin in Q4, and you'll learn more about what the aforementioned cult is up to. But Eastern Solstice will be much more dangerous, as this is where the Worm Cult is at their most dangerous. But that means more rewards, another Public Dungeon, more World Bosses, Delves, and more items and collectibles to earn.

The content available won't only be limited to Solstice, with the 2025 Content Pass also including access to more four-player dungeons this year. Exiled Reboubt and Lep Seclusa, two of the new dungeons, are already available for players to challenge as part of the Fallen Banners dungeon pack. Upon entering Q3, you'll face more threats in the Feast of Shadows dungeon pack, where you'll challenge the dungeons of Black Gem Foundry and Naj Caldeesh. In these dungeons, you'll need to assault a Daedric forge who have been supplying the Worm Cult from their base in Coldharbour, and fight to stop their corruption of an ancient Xanmeer.

With four major releases to look forward to, new zones to explore, new dungeons, and a special one-time event; players have a lot to look forward to in The Elder Scrolls Online 2025 Content Pass. So remember that part one of Seasons of the Worm Cult will be available with the 2025 Content Pass and the 2025 Premium Edition, and will be available from 2nd June for PC and Mac, and 18th June for Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
