What is Wolff-Parkinson-White (WPW) Syndrome
Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is a condition due to a birth defect, also known as preexcitation syndrome. It is a rare heart disease that affects the heart’s electrical system, disrupting the normal heart rhythm. Those who have WPW syndrome carry an extra way for signals that travel between the lower and upper chambers of the heart. As a result, heart rhythm may get faster than normal.
