Breast cancer is not just one disease—it has different types, each affecting the body differently. The most common type is Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC), which starts in the milk ducts and spreads to nearby tissues. Another type is Invasive Lobular Carcinoma (ILC), beginning in the milk-producing lobules. Some breast cancers are non-invasive, such as Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS), which stays confined to the ducts. There are also rare types like triple-negative breast cancer, which is harder to treat because it doesn’t respond to common hormone therapies.
