The Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA), established on September 1, 1939, in Bishkek, is Kyrgyzstan's premier medical institution. Named after I.K. Akhunbaev, it offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in General Medicine, Dentistry, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Medical and Preventive Care, and Nursing.
